A Day in the Life of a University Recruiter:

 

The University Recruiter will partner with Talent Acquisition and various internal departments to assist in planning and executing the strategy for campus recruiting and relations for the Company’s internship and full-time hiring programs as well as other functional recruiting support.  This role is responsible for consistency in approach and ensuring Bell’s employment brand and image is elevated on campus and elsewhere in the pipeline.  Additionally, the University Recruiter will help build and maintain strong relationships with both universities and students, and will help oversee the company’s entry-level diversity hiring initiatives.

 

University Recruiter responsibilities:

 
  • Partner with other recruiters, internal talent advisors, HR business partners, functional leaders, and campus stakeholders to execute recruiting activities in support of the Talent Strategy.
  • Build brand awareness and overall relationship management.
  • Influence, maintain and reinforce consistency in the Bell employment and product brand (materials, presentations, website, social media, etc.)
  • Assist department points of contact (POCs) with coordinating college campus activities and events.
  • Attend recruiting events and interviews as needed. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with targeted Universities, candidates, affinity groups and professional organizations.
  • Assist with the coordination of on-site activities, including the annual Summer Intern Program
  • Screen resumes and present interview recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Maintain standardized metrics for core, common and critical processes, related to University Recruiting and prepare reports for TAC Manager.
  • Track ROI (conversion, retention, diversity, etc.) from campus recruiting efforts and leverage data to meet recruiting goals and implement different strategies
  • Generate and assist in tracking and processing of offer letters and sign-on bonus agreements to ensure all documents are reviewed, signed and handled timely.
  • Assist with all placement related paperwork and pre-employment activity.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Marketing, Business, Communications, Human Resources or other related field.
  • 2 years of Human Resources experience.

  • Knowledge of college markets and campus recruiting strategies, including digital media.
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organizational, project and time management skills. 
  • Experience with Taleo and Microsoft Project highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% or more during recruiting season.
  • Previous recruiting experience.
